Beautiful scenery, great tour staff, amazing things to see. Only downside was we only had about 20 minutes to look around Oberammergau, which was a shame as it’s a stunning town. Only other downside is you can’t take photos inside the castle or palace which is bizarre as the photos are all over the internet anyway.

Both castles testify the vision of Bavaria’s fairy tale King. Wander through the scenic German countryside on your way to the legendary extravagance of the German castles. Leaving from Munich, you’ll first visit Linderhof Castle, a French rococo-style castle inspired by Versailles itself and surrounded by immaculately cared-for gardens. A quick shopping and photo stop in the charming village of Oberammergau will recharge your batteries for the second half of your day. You’ll arrive at the idyllic Neuschwanstein Castle around 1.00pm, where you’ll be free to enjoy approximately 4 hours of castle exploration.
Itinerary:
8.30am - Depart from Munich- 9.45am - Arrive at Linderhof Castle for a guided tour between 10:00 and 11:00am- Depart from Linderhof Castle around 11.30am - passing only by bus through Oberammergau, no stop and arrive at Neuschwanstein Castle between 12:30pm- 13:30pm -Lunch -and Tour Neuschwanstein around 15:00pm- Depart from Neuschwanstein Castle 6.30pm - Arrive back in Munich
